Creative Destruction ~ It is not the smartest or most intelligent species that survive, but the species that is adaptable to change, Charles Darwin

Innovation needs ecosystems of ideas, people, networks, investors and markets. This is critical. Look at companies such as the Microsoft’s of the world who on an average for every 1$ earned, the ecosystem earns over 12$! Look at the hubs of innovation around the world. The key is what I believe in as my very fabric.”It is not the smartest or most intelligent species that survive, but the species most adaptable to change”, Charles Darwin. Applying that to innovation and ecosystems, everyone needs the other. No ideas means no place to invest for risk capital like VC & PE and no risk capital means less ideas get invested in and no markets means no customers and so on and so forth.Why is the this so important a topic. Because the world is at a strategic inflection point for innovation, not so much in technologies but in the business models that will evolve and disrupt what is in existence today. We are in  the middle of that change and regions such as India, China, South America, etc. are the footprint for such change.  Some areas of the greatest opportunities;

So many deals are gong around from social platforms to access products and services. Why?  In this state of such rapid change no one knows who is right or wrong so make investments and see which way it goes. Look around you and the wave is just beginning and the amount of wealth that will be created will be enormous and to quote Schumpeter on Creative Destruction. Creative destruction was a term coined in the early forties by  economist Joseph Schumpeter, which describes the process of transformation and change that goes along with radical innovation. His understanding of capitalism and wealth creation was based on the constant innovative ecosystem and creation of ideas and technologies by entrepreneurs which were the force that sustained long-term economic growth, while it destroyed the value of established business models and companies that enjoyed some degree of monopoly in markets and across industries.We are just about to see the next decades of creative destruction unfold! So hold on or participate. That is your call and watch the Darwinism play out.
