EMERGEOUT Conclave 2008: Real Feedback from Real Delegates!
As most of you would already know, this conference is a true community event – most of the program has been created through direct inputs from the attendees. This spirit of the event could not be complete without capturing and sharing the direct feedback from the creators of the conference – delegates. Here is a real feedback from few of the randomly selected delegates:
1.) Vineesh Kumar (An IIT Delhi graduate, who unlike most of his peers decided to start his own venture, directly out of the college!)
When asked about what he liked about the conference, here is what Vineesh shared:
a.) What brought me to the conference was that it will be an opportunity to meet entrepreneurs who’ve been through the journey. I am greatly surprised to meet and network with real entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurial quality of the speakers as well as the delegates has amazed me.
b.) Quality of the sessions is equally relevant and interesting. Hearing from the people who’ve been through the journey I am going to go through is really valuable. Story about successes such as Bazee was really interesting & aspiring.
When asked, what changes would he make if he were given a charge of the conference, Vineesh said:
a.) Some sessions became boring because of the length. If the duration of the session could be reduced, it would have been better.
b.) Mentoring session, if made public, would have been highly valuable and relevant
2.) Neerja Verma (An HR Consultant with over 18 years of industry experience)
When asked on “what did you like most about the conference and what is the key takeaway” for you, Neerja said:
a.) I really liked the conference for the fact that I could meet and network with many like minded yet diverse background people. I got present to various ideas, trends and problems, relevant to my profession. I don’t need to reinvent the wheel; I can take help from others who’ve been through the journey I am planning to take.
b.) Without pointing to the session, she said that she couldn’t really understand what was being tried to be communicated. It could have been made simpler.
3.) Deepak Mittal (An IT professional who just started his first company after 9 years of industry experience)
I really liked the SME Focus. The fact that I could strongly relate to the sessions by young entrepreneurs, the event was highly valuable and met my expectations. The session on SaaS was eye opener for me; I didn’t know that SaaS (Software as a Service) is so popular and well accepted in India.
When asked “What changes would you like to make to the conference to further enrich the experience”, he said:
a.) I would eliminate the sessions which are being led by and not directly relevant to young entrepreneurs like me
b.) I would have provided more space in the lunch space
In my view, the event was tremendously successful. We must acknowledge NASSCOM team for a brilliant effort. I request other delegates to use this platform to give your genuine feedback so as to make this event even better!
