Finalists for NASSCOM Innovation Awards 2008 announced..

This year the response has been overwhelming for the NASSCOM Innovation Awards 2008. The NASSCOM Innovation Awards, currently in its fifth edition, is a key initiative by NASSCOM to highlight the true innovators in the Indian IT industry. Through this initiative, we hope that the award winners will provide a ‘light house’ effect and further spur the innovation movement in India. There has been a very positive and encouraging response with constant stream of mails and calls coming from several companies on this initiative and we are proud to be spearheading this project.
We want to reiterate the commitment of NASSCOM to promote and publicize Innovation as the new way of sustaining growth and the success of the Indian IT Industry. It has indeed been a tough job for the jury members and NASSCOM for selecting the semi-finalists and then the finalists. The list of 100 IT Innovators would be announced very soon.
Some of the Innovative companies this year that have been finalised are mentioned below.
Market Facing – New Technology Advancement. The below mentioned companies will be showcased in Chennai on 15th December 2008.

The above mentioned companies will be showcased and presentations will be made through an interactive session which will demonstrate the uniqueness of their product or services, new customer segments, business models, etc. Innovations in this area have typically a direct correlation with the revenue of a firm and have an impact on the firm’s markets.

I am surprised to see the finalists of the awards when I did not even get a call for the interview. FYI, Joynus is nominated in the start up category. May I know what is criteria you follow?
Usha, Joynus did not get a call as you did not make it to the first short-list.
The first short-list that the jury and BCG put together went through a telephonic interview after which they were short-listed for presenting their Innovations in Pune.

The Delhi and Pune events link are not implemented correctly. They point to the Bangalore event!
