I think companies should realize the full potential of their own employees - right from programmers, analysts, admins & not just managers. It is indeed motivating for an employee ,who is at the lower end of the hierarchy doing his/her desk job , to be called for a brain storming session on how to market better or on what new features can be added to a product.
