NASSCOM EMERGEOUT second edition kickstarts in Chennai on 29th April 2009

The contribution of SMBs to the GDP of any emerging economy has been well researched and documented. So much so, that most global solution providers have designed an entire suite, to meet the specific requirements of companies who fall under this bracket. During these uncertain times when fortune swings between hope and despair like a pendulum, it is only appropriate that we explore survival and growth strategies for IT SMEs in these turbulent times. So the theme decided by the EMERGE Community for the conference is “Survival & Growth Strategies for Indian IT SMEs”

Riding on the unprecedented success of the first edition of EMERGEOUT Concalve held in New Delhi last year, 29th of April this year will usher in the second edition in Chennai, the EEMERGEOUT 2009.

With a global economic order that is changing every day and a crippling recession looming large, we would like to capture, how some Indian IT SMEs are not just coping up and surviving but also growing, albeit a lot slowly.

In New Delhi last year, we saw the high levels of enthusiasm exhibited by the participants during the UnConference sessions. This year too, we will feature focussed sessions drawing parallels from the industry.

We recognize and appreciate the fact, that market condition is grim and that no one really as the perfect antidote to come out of it. However, even during these tough times, it should not necessarily spell the death knell for the smaller players. Some have done well and thrived too. The EMERGEOUT forum has always been considered as a sounding board which is used by our members to “bounce off” untested ideas. In many ways it is a trend setter and always seeks to capture that spirit of Emerging Companies which propels it towards relentless persuasion to attain critical mass and also be counted.
