Dr. Anand Deshpande (MD & CEO, Persistent) started the session by welcoming the audience for the last session. As always, it’s difficult to keep the audience on their seats for the last session. Yet, the hall was jam packed. Without taking any time, Dr Anand handed over to Dr Jai Menon (Directory – Tech & Customer Service, Bharti Airtel and Group CIO, Bharti Enterprises), who otherwise needs no introduction.

Ankur starts by giving the example of a company which has grown from a 10 employee to a 400+ employee company with a revenue over 100 crores.

The Third Edition of The NASSCOM EMEGREOUT Conclave – The Inaugural Session
A warm welcome to all at the NASSCOM EMERGEOUT Conclave, we bring you EMERGEOUT LIVE. We have Mr. Som Mittal and Mr. KrishnaKumar Natrajan from MindTree on stage.
We have Mr. Som Mittal welcoming the delegates and the hall is filling up to its brim. Talking about the period of uncertainty, Mr. Mittal is referring to growth and how entrepreneurship is taking a leap in India. There are positive changes that are taking place says Mr. Mittal.
NASSCOM honors the EMERGE 50 Leaders for distinct offerings at the EMERGEOUT Conclave 2009
One of the unique features of the EMERGEOUT Conclave is going to be the felicitation of the NASSCOM EMERGE 50 Leaders 2009 – 10. NASSCOM through its EMERGE 50 initiative, has identified 50 Emerging companies which are redefining the benchmark of excellence for the next generation of SMEs. The EMERGE 50 Leaders, have been selected from these shortlisted companies. The purpose of this initiative is to identify and recognize the great potential companies in the making, who can be treated as role models and inspiration to others. It is noteworthy, that NASSCOM for the first time, would also be honouring 10 emerging companies.

I would be moderating the session titled – “Some case studies on companies who have adapted SaaS” at the NASSCOM EMERGEOUT conclave in Delhi on the 28th August 2009.
Some of the questions I intend to take up with my fellow panel members are:
- Their organization and the business they are in
- What SaaS application they are using (application area like CRM, ERP, )
- Why did they choose SaaS model
- What was the promise and has it lived upto promise
- Common concerns/ objections around SaaS in enterprises and your reactions to the same
- Some crystal ball gazing
Look who’s attending the third edition of EMERGEOUT conclave in New Delhi on 28th August 2009
The stage is ready for the third edition of the EMERGEOUT Conclave. This time around about 225 companies are expected to attend the conclave. The theme for the conclave is “Cloud Computing – A Wave of opportunities for SMEs”. The program agenda can be accessed online.
