Attend the EMERGEOUT Conclave in Delhi to identify the opportunities in SaaS and Cloud Computing for Emerging companies
We are now within striking distance of what promises to be a real cracker. Cloud Computing technology is what the future beckons, and to deliberate on this subject, we have lined up for you those practitioners, who are not only very knowledgeable, but have also used this technology extensively at some point in their career. Moreover, they have seen both sides and have a very clear idea of the positives, as well as the negatives while undergoing this transformation. Most discussions, eventually veer in one direction and does not challenge conventional thinking. NASSCOM EMERGEOUT 2009 aims to do just that – leave you with an insatiable hunger to know more. For the Inaugural we have Mr Krishnakumar Natarajan (CEO & MD – MindTree), EMERGE Forum Chair, & Sharad Sharma, Product Forum Chair flagging off the conference. Both the stalwarts, have worked a considerable period of time, in a “non cloud computing” environment and would be best suited in projecting a balanced view of things. This will set the tone for the entire day, lest we fly off the handle. We then move over to the “guru” of Cloud Computing Model – none other than the illustrious Dr Sridhar Vembu of Zoho. He would be making the Keynote Address on “the future of SaaS and Cloud Computing and the changing IT landscape”.
The next keynote session is on “How SaaS and Cloud Computing are changing the IT industry and the Opportunities they present”. We have Steve McWhirter – President, APAC, SalesForce.com addressing this and Dr. Prasad Ram, Head of Engineering for Google India. Salesforce.com & Google are the pioneers in the area of SaaS and getting an insight from them would indeed be very interesting. Alok Mittal of Canaan Partners would be chairing this session. It would be rather incisive, to look at the business model from a venture capitalist’s perspective.
The session after any break is always a challenging one, in terms of getting the attention span of the participants. That is why we have kept “India Market and the SaaS / Cloud Computing landscape”, immediately after. We have Kishore – CEO, ImpelCRM and Raja – Founder & MD, Ramco Systems and Sharad Sanghi from NetMagic Solutions with us to talk about the Indian side of the story. Ibrahim Ahmed, the Chief Editor of Dataquest, would moderate the session. This session could spark off a healthy debate and none better than a senior media person to put things in the right perspective.
Ah, do I sense lunch..well not yet. In the Insights session, we have for you “ Small is BIG: Re-inventing business models which will work for India”. We have Vishal Gondal – Founder & CEO, IndiaGames and Srikanth Rao – CEO, ABS Computing, Alok Singh from Novatium addressing. Our very own Rajdeep Sehrawat, Vice President, NASSCOM would be moderating this session. Being the Champion for NASSCOM’s initiative in the domestic market, he will inject some original thinking into the discussion.
Anything after lunch, inevitably remains a mystery and to spruce up the session we have “Demystifying SaaS, PaaS and IaaS business”. We have speakers from Suresh Sambandhan – CEO, Orangescape and Pankaj from HRmantra unravelling the mystery bit. Chandramouli from Zinnov would moderate this session.
For the next session on case studies of companies who have successfully adopted SaaS, we have Deepinder Bedi, Executive Director – Tulip Telecom Ltd and Venki Nishtala – CTO – rediff.com. Vishwas Mahajan, Founder & CEO, Compulink Software giving us a practical overview of what works and what should remain at theoretical level only.
After the second tea break of the day, we have “SaaS for the mobile world”, and we have Sanjiv Mital – Comviva, Ashish Gupta – Helion VC and Ankur Lal, of Infozech Software moderating the session.
After this we have a Showcase session – of the NASSCOM Emerge 10 companies. Out of the top 50 nominations, 10 companies will get an opportunity to present on their unique value proposition on the parameters, for which they have been shortlisted.
For the final Valedictory address, we have Dr. Jai Menon, Bharti Airtel doing us the honour and will be talking on “The Cloud with the Silver Lining” The NASSCOM EMERGE 10 will be recognized after this by Mr. Mittal sharing his ingihts for the NASSCOM EMERGE Forum. The evening will be in the Cloud and If you haven’t registered already, now is the time to do so and avoid last minute rush. You sure don’t want to miss this one.
