Startups – network with CIOs, Investors, Mentors and more at NASSCOM Product Conclave 2009 (27-28 Oct, Bangalore)
This year, the NASSCOM Product conclave will be reaching out to virtually all stakeholders in the software products eco-system, including ISVs and MNC captives, the investor community, startups/product advisors, enterprise CIOs, SIs, corporate incubation centres and academic research and incubation centres.
One of the primary objectives of the meet, is to allow the stakeholders in the software products eco-system to network with each other through special sessions and share experiences and best practices. At the conclave, you have the opportunity to undertake the following:
- Meet up with, and make a pitch to the CIOs: This is indeed a unique chance for startups. For the first time NASSCOM is partnering with its CIO Forum to ensure that the technology leaders of leading organisations have a significant presence at the conclave. The idea is to have them present their views on the challenges they are facing and the IT solutions they will be seeking to address these pain points in the coming years. The CIOs will also attend the Power Sessions, where startups can yet again speak to them about their offerings. Additionally, CIOs will be available for an extended informal interaction with ISVs and startups, at a special session at the conference
- Engage with SIs and ISVs: SIs form a key part of the product eco-system as serious GTM enablers. The “Engage the SI” session will be followed by a panel discussion, where the ISVs will have a chance to interact with the SIs. They can use the platform to discuss the partnering approaches, models and pre-requisites as well as explore business opportunities. All leading SIs and their alliance organisations will be present at this networking session, enabling startups to interact with them face-to-face.
- Participate in the Advisor Networking: Startups and emerging product companies can accelerate their product evolution and market penetration significantly by taking the help of Advisors who can help them refine their product definition, solution approaches, product functional packaging, GTM strategies, pilot lead generation, among others. Sanjay Anandram and other advisors will be available to speak to startups and SME ISVs at the Advisor Lounge, following the Krishna and Arjuna panel discussion.
- Explore funding channels at the Investor lounge: The conclave will witness participation from a large contingent of VCs. After the VC panel discussions are over, and through most of the event, investors, VCs and incubation centres/facilitators will be available at the Investor lounge for more detailed interactions. Startups and product companies can pitch their business plans/ideas/products, get them vetted by the funding agencies, receive their valuable insights and feedback and also explore funding possibilities. This session will include the startup eco-system, and early stage, startup/product support organisations.
- Participate in a session on “Start-up-Employee power-dating”: Startups offer a challenging work opportunity to employees where they have to help define the products, evolve the business and share in the growth successes. The power-dating session is an off-beat job fair, featuring just startups. The startups that have been identified, will set up booths and have their details publicised prior to the event. Professionals looking at joining these exciting organisations can interact with them and talk about the
- Interact with Country delegations: The conclave will play host to a few country delegations that will talk about the investment opportunities on their turf and seek partnerships with organisations in India. Indian startups will be able to meet with these delegations and talk about their plans to foray their markets in the Delegation lounge.
There’s all this and more at NASSCOM’s Product Conclave, so hurry up and register for the event, in case you haven’t already done so. There are special discounted passes for startups, so make sure you have got yours. You can register online for the event
