Bring on the Mavericks: The change agents for organisations
The definition of an organisation is an entity with a collective goal, and it’s obvious that the net result of any organisation is only the result of this collective endeavour. Everyone has an important role to play within this system, albeit small or inconsequential, because one small spark is all that is required to ignite the fire of change. It is imperative for the leadership team (especially the human resources) to identify these mavericks and provide a platform to nurture and elevate such talent.
Recession is an opportunity. Emerge stronger.
A few weeks earlier, I was at the NASSCOM India Leadership Forum, and had the opportunity to hear the doyens of the industry speak and share their outlook for the industry and the economy in general. Though the mood appeared up-beat, the forecasts weren’t too great and the under currents of recession were felt by everybody.
About E-Mail Errors and Etiquettes
I received an e-mail the other day with the precarious subject “Dismal Ad Sales”, and with all seriousness I opened the mail, only to heave a sigh of relief and feel sorry for the sender. Surely the e-mail lived up to its title, and from its content the sales figures were sorry. However, these are figures of some other company, and I was not the intended recipient!

The Satyam fiasco almost sent the stock market tumbling with the shock, and wiped off the assets of many unsuspecting investors, who had belief in the company and its integrity. Sadly, its integrity was also linked to Ramalinga Raju, whose greed and antics, as we are aware off has been the root cause behind the debacle.
An Idea can change the fortunes of your company
We are living in times where enterprises and entrepreneurs are made by the day, and so are the fate of companies. In our day and age, where information travels as fast as the speed of thought and the conventional boundaries of businesses do not exist, companies need to think differently to stay competitive. Constant innovation is the key to competitiveness and sustainable growth for any company, and such innovation can seed only from ideas.
Sensex, Lies and Redtape
The Satyam fiasco is all over the news, grabbing headlines and airtime alike. Its probably unprecedented that an IT company or even an Indian corporate has been the overwhelming topic of discussion over the past couple of days, and rightly so.
