Having ridden the wave successfully on both the occasions – Delhi the first time, followed by Chennai, the third edition, would be hosted in the city where it all started. EoC2 – a Roaring Success
Just back from the EoC2 (Emerge out Conclave 2) meet. This time it was in Chennai (the first one was held in Delhi last year) and I could feel a lot more energy and enthusiasm. Chennai NASSCOM unit rocks for sure.

M&A is the buzz word in the current economic scenario; however, experts say that fundamentally the process of M&A is more of any art than science.
In an experts session Acquire or Get Acquired at Emerge-out, Nasscom Chennai, Kami Narayanan, Co-CEO, PreMedia Global said that any parent company before acquiring another company should ask two important questions 1: Will the acquisition bring new capabilities to the parent organization? 2: Will the acquisition help the parent company s economy to scale up?

The unConference session at Emergeout Conclave
I had heard and read a lot about (un)conference but this was the first time i actually attended one. And I loved it. Unlike a conference or a speech or a panel discussion , an unconference is a place where audience runs the show and the moderators just guide the flow of content, which actually comes from the audience itself. The concept of unconference works by moderators giving the general theme and some basic ideas on it and then throwing open the topic to audience so that a discussion can take place and all can learn from it. In a sense its a peer-to-peer learning model! The role of moderators is to prevent conflict and to manage time so that all ideas can be covered.
