Even as Indian organizations expand their businesses to all parts of the globe, the largest of international players are establishing an “offshore” presence in India to tap the great outsourcing opportunity. At the same time, the IT-BPO industry has emerged as a strong force and growth catalyst of the global economy.
The sector has transcended geographic barriers and is now playing a new, more strategic role in the emerging global scenario. The NASSCOM India Leadership Summit 2008, centered around the theme of “Shrinking the world, Riding the wave,” will reflect the globalization of the IT-BPO industry, and its emerging role on the world stage.
From the battery of international industry leaders participating in the conference, to the strong contingent of global analysts and industry gurus, to the reputed customer companies from across regions—NASSCOM’s India Leadership Forum will focus on the “bigger picture.” With discussions moving beyond India as an IT outsourcing platform and taking the larger, multi-location, multi-organization viewpoint, the Forum will be about spotlighting the competitive advantage of countries and companies in the rapidly expanding outsourcing domain.
The conclave will also be the platform where global CIOs will have an opportunity to share their Best Practices with peers and where emerging companies will have the chance to learn from the veterans and emulate their success stories.
NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2008, one of the most respected events across the world, has entered its 16th year, a figure considered important in more ways than one. The flagship event of the Association coincides with the 60th year of Indian Independence and it is important to realize the positive impact Indian Industries have made on the World Economy. Indian IT industry has become a force to reckon with and in this conclave we hope to bring together the Global Leaders, CEOs, CIOs, Government Officials and other Luminaries, who would share their views on the globalization of the IT sector and areas where the world can work in partnership with India. The Forum which provides a stimulus for important boardroom decision making, is also a perfect platform for participants to network and share their experiences.
Last year we had the Gurus share their thoughts and provide insights on a broad spectrum of issues ranging from Global Leadership, Innovation, Emerging Markets, Global Sourcing, Engineering Services, Global CSR to Global Competitiveness. This year, while the event will feature topics like Innovation Insights, it would also focus on CIO’s Perspective, Emerging Trends, Technology Vision and Thought Leadership.
